Sencillamente (siguiendo el Cantar de los Cantares) es texto que hice al encontrar ciertas cosas en el Cantar de los Cantares.

El texto original es, por supuesto, el más apasionado y erótico de los libros judíos antiguos, y siempre es extraño encontrar esto

en la Biblia. En 2008 escribí una pieza coral llamada For love is strong, en la que hice un texto similar del Cantar de los Cantares,

tratando de usar las palabras para ver, a través de la relación entre el hombre y la mujer, la historia de la relación entre el Hombre

y Dios. Según la tradición judía el Cantar de los Cantares es una metáfora de nuestra pasión por el Eterno, por lo que las palabras

mismas llegan a ser muy importantes.

Una cosa que siempre me ha interesado sobre el texto es que el hombre y la mujer en el Cantar de los Cantares tienen atributos,

cada uno se da cuenta de las cosas del otro, de sus propias cosas, tienen rasgos que son deseables. En el amor entre las personas

esto no sería ninguna sorpresa. En el amor entre el hombre y Dios, sin embargo, lo que podría significar en este texto son pistas

sobre la naturaleza de los propios atributos de Dios, y un documento de cómo podrían atraernos.

Para mi texto hice una lista de todo lo personal o propio que se atribuye al hombre y a la mujer.

Para aclarar quién está hablando empecé cada frase de él con «sencillamente tu… « y cada frase de ella con «y mi… «. Es interesante

ver que en un texto sobre un amor que se comparte sólo aparece «nuestro» siete veces.
